|Luis Crisologo Singson, better known as Chavit Singson, a Filipino politician, is the Governor of the province of Ilocos Sur, Philippines. Chavit Singson was appointed Deputy National Security Adviser, on September 5, 2008 by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
Governor Singson started out as a businessman. He then entered politics, becoming a prominent political figure in his province and later playing a significant role in Philippine politics and democracy.
Luis "Chavit" Singson is the second child of Mayor Jose Singson and the former Caridad Crisologo. His Eldest brother was Evaristo 'Titong'. Chavit was followed by Bernardo, Fernando 'Dodoy', Maria Livia 'Honeygirl', Jerry, another sister Germelina 'Germy', and lastly by a brother Bonito.
Governor Singson currently lives in his home, called Baluarte, in Vigan City. Ilocos Sur.
